This is OUR community!

We are a community improvement award winner located near the picturesque Beaver Valley. Also the site of the Logan Fontenelle Monument where the famous Omaha Indian Chief, Logan Fontenelle (White Horse), was killed in 1855. We have two public parks and are the home of the annual Nebraska State Antique Tractor and Horse Plowing Bee and the Rae Valley Old Threshers Reunion in August.

EDUCATION

Boone Central Schools

Boone Central Schools is comprised of two campuses. The Albion campus houses Boone Central High School (9-12) and Boone Central Elementary School (PreK-5).

The Petersburg Campus, located 13 miles north of Albion is home to Boone Central Middle School (6-8).  Bus service is provided between the communities.

Boone Central School is classified by the Nebraska State Activities Association as a Class C1 school. Boone Central Schools is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Northeast Community College

Established by the state legislature in 1973 as a comprehensive community college offering vocational/technical, liberal arts, college transfer, and continuing education, Northeast Community College is a modern, two-year college located at the northeast edge of Norfolk, Nebraska. It serves residents of a 20-county area in northeast Nebraska. Northeast is the only community college in the state with one-and two-year vocational, liberal arts, and adult education programs all on one main campus.
