We are a community improvement award winner located near the picturesque Beaver Valley. Also the site of the Logan Fontenelle Monument where the famous Omaha Indian Chief, Logan Fontenelle (White Horse), was killed in 1855. We have two public parks and are the home of the annual Nebraska State Antique Tractor and Horse Plowing Bee and the Rae Valley Old Threshers Reunion in August.

All Dog Owners to License Pets

Dog owners in Petersburg will now be required to license & register their dogs.  All dogs age six months and older belonging to residents within the Village limits are required to be licensed.  Licenses can be purchased at the Village Office where records will be kept. The cost of the license will be $5.00. Please bring their vaccination records, with the breed and name of dog, when you register and license the dog.

All dogs are to wear a metallic tag attached to a dog collar provided by the Village.

Dogs found running at large without a current dog tag from the Village of Petersburg will be declared a public nuisance, be impounded and the owner fined.
