The Petersburg Public Library, a handicapped-accessible facility, is equipped with an Internet-accessible computer. Books, periodicals, video and audio materials, and software are available for checkout. Publications total 5,371.
New Library Hours and Summer Reading
The Petersburg Public Library will start having day hours on Thursday, July 6, 2023. The library will be open every Thursday in July from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Come in to check out the library and a book.
The library will have a summer reading program beginning Tuesday, July 11, 2023 that will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The summer reading will also meet on Tuesday, July 18 and 25 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The hour will be spent reading books, checking out books, activities, and a snack. All ages are welcome. We hope this will keep students reading as they prepare for the new school year.
