Water
The Village of Petersburg’s 2020 “Annual Drinking Water Quality Report” is posted at the Post Office, Leifeld Hardware and the Village Office. This report will not be mailed out, but a copy is available at the Petersburg Village Office and the Village Shop Building.
Streets
There are 10 miles of streets in Petersburg, 8 miles of which are hard-surfaced with concrete or asphalt. Ten percent of the streets have curbs and 50 percent have sidewalks. Street maintenance includes patching, grading, armor coating, crack filling, and snow removal. Street improvements completed annually include armor coating some of the streets. These improvements are funded by the city at an estimated cost of $10,000 to $15,000.
